Band Application

We are excited to announce the 3rd Annual Freed Fest, Saturday, July 11, 2020, an Annual Celebration for Salem, Ohio’s own Alan Freed – including live music events in historic downtown. As we plan for this Fest, we extend an invitation to all regional bands to submit their application to perform by April 30, 2020 at the latest.

Applying does not guarantee a spot. Bands accepted will perform for an estimated 40 minutes. Headliners will have extended time slots. It is preferred that accepted bands play original songs and not covers. Bands applying must be open to play during any selected time slots between 4 PM and the last slot starting at 10 PM. Additional times and locations may be available – with band approval first. Accepted bands must be able to supply supporting materials for marketing and promotions, including photographs, bios and links to supporting website(s) and/or social page(s).

The band applying, and its members, release Freed Fest, and its Partners, from loss or damage to the band’s equipment and instruments. It is the sole responsibility of the band applying to care for their own equipment and instruments brought to the Freed Fest performance.

A professional sound company will provide house sound and monitor mixer. This includes all vocal mics, instrument mics, direct input boxes and associated cables. Bands are required to bring all instruments (please list above any specific input needs). Stage lighting will also be provided.
